I loved the drive to their beautiful home in Bedford. It was a grey and chilly day in December, the kind of wet cold I’ve come to know from Halifax. The clouds seemed low, and with it being the beginning of December, seemed like they might be ready to give us some snow.
I love the light from those cold, grey days in winter. Its the kind of quiet light that makes me want to snuggle with a blanket, tea, and a good book. But after meeting Ken, Natalie, and baby Henry, I also realized its also perfect for snuggling new little babies. Continue reading →
As I walked into Alex, Allison, and Theo’s beautiful home on a Sunday afternoon, I was happy to see a family gathering taking place. Apparently getting together on Sundays is a tradition this family loves to share. To me, sharing time and a meal with people I love is something I value so much. When I meet other people with those same values, it is so easy to make a connection! Continue reading →
Pamela, Nick, Clara, and little Eloise May. This is who I had the privilege of spending a couple of hours with on a weekend in July! I visited their home for a casual lifestyle family session, just five days after Eloise was born. Both Pam and Nick were laid back, fun, and so proud of their little family. They had a beautiful property, and we had fun picking different spots for the family-photo-to-hang-on-the-wall (which of course…they nailed!). Continue reading →
Newborns. I think I am officially obsessed. They are just so smooshy and cute. This is little Jules, just 2-weeks old. I love that they fall asleep. Wherever. And that their skin is so soft and covered in little down. And that their parents love them. And that they can wear whatever and it is the cutest thing in the world. Continue reading →
In May I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful little family. Ali, Eric and little baby Shea. This session was really wonderful for me. Really! This was pretty exciting because it was my first “newborn” session. Although Shea is a wee bit older than a newborn, he was absolutely as cute as a button. He was sleepy, but then alert and smiling. And mostly, he was just really relaxed and happy for the 2 hours I was there. I mean, what more could a photographer ask for? Continue reading →
A couple of weeks ago, I hosted a contest to give away a free photography session. When I contacted Erin and Kris to let them know that they won, they told me the story about their family, and I was so excited to meet them! Zachary and Wyatt are twins who spent a good portion of their Continue reading →
Meet Myriam Rosa. She is 4 weeks old and is the 4th child to the wonderful Stang family. Josh and I have known Lorne and Carolline for a number of years, and they are very near and dear to us. In fact Continue reading →
