Catherine and Drew are amazing, humble, funny, and kind. They are an incredible pair and we had a fun, laid-back engagement session on the Halifax waterfront. Even though the first part of our shoot was dampened by some rain, they were ready to make the best of it and I think the end result speaks for itself. I’m so excited for their 2022 wedding!
Kate and Nick got married on one of the most beautiful, hot, sunny, August days last summer. But, what a blast! Both of them were laid back and fun. Not to mention their wedding parties. So many laughs!
I loved seeing all of their friends and family gathering to celebrate their big Catholic wedding at Saint Benedict’s. It was so obvious how genuinely happy everyone was that Nick and Kate were getting married!
One of the most memorable parts was the choreographed singing/dance number during the reception. Kate is big into theatre, and it was just so perfect that they came together to entertain their guests with their wonderful talent.
So happy for these two. What a beautiful day!
When I met up with Caitlyn and Edward for their engagement session last summer, I remember what a beautiful day it was. Like, one of those summer days that make you want to get a scoop of ice cream, and stroll slowly along the waterfront, savoring a slow pace with no where to go.
I was pretty excited about this engagement session, because it was my first time photographing an engaged couple. I think it’s so amazing that I get to be part of their journey into marriage, first doing their engagement session, and then their wedding. What an honour to witness that transformation! When Dhavita contacted me and told me that she wanted to hire me for her wedding, which also happened to be an elopement, I really had no idea what to expect! I just knew that their “spot” was on a beautiful part of the Lawrencetown beach, and that it would just be them, the Justice of the Peace, and myself. When I showed up at their house, I was so pleasantly surprised not only to find two good-looking people, but also ones who were laid back and easy to talk to. We decided to drive in the same car to the beach, which was awesome because I got to know them a little bit! I definitely got the sense that easy-going was a trend with these two.
In my opinion, the weather was perfect. The sun wasn’t out, but the clouds cast a dreamy glow. Gorgeous!
All in all, it was a great day. I loved meeting these two, and hope to see more of them in the future!
Two amazing people I know got married this past summer, and I was so honoured that they asked me to be their photographer during their ceremony. Held at the beautifully simple St. Catherine of Sienna Continue reading
