I was able to meet Liz and Ryan with their two girls at their amazing property in Hubley, Nova Scotia. What a gorgeous spot! Liz and Ryan are hilarious, and were constantly cracking jokes at one another. Their girls are sweet, fun, and feisty!
I met Kelly and Zach for a sweet session at their home with their three kids. It was special because they had their home listed for sale, and sold it not long after we met. This home held so many memories for them and raising their boys, so I’m glad I was able to be part of preserving some of their family history! Kelly is also a #momboss, as a sales representative for Monat. I was happy to take some headshots for her!
If I needed a tell-tale sign about our upcoming session together, I just needed to look at their footwear. Sneakers. “We brought a couple of soccer balls, if we need to round them up later.” The message was clear: we have runners! That’s ok. I like a challenge! So much energy and love. Leah and Martin’s family are so wonderful and so fun!
Johanna is one of my dearest friends, back from when I was a Surfguard at the National Parks on PEI. She is kind, fun, laid back, and just an excellent person all around. When she moved away to Ottawa, I was happy for the opportunities it would bring for her and her family, but I was so sad to have such a close friend move away. Thankfully, she comes to Halifax every now and then to visit her husband’s family. Naturally, I was delighted to take some family pictures of her with her littles. The funny part is that we were just hanging out….my kids are totally here with me behind the scenes!
As I walked into Alex, Allison, and Theo’s beautiful home on a Sunday afternoon, I was happy to see a family gathering taking place. Apparently getting together on Sundays is a tradition this family loves to share. To me, sharing time and a meal with people I love is something I value so much. When I meet other people with those same values, it is so easy to make a connection! Continue reading
You know what’s truly amazing? Getting four children and two adults to smile. At the same time. With no blinking or weird faces. Oh hey there Myatt family. Thanks for being so awesome and making me look good!
Last August, I met up with one of my favorite families at DeWolfe Park in Bedford. You are probably thinking two things: she says every family is “one of her favorites” and “LAST August? Good grief. Get your act together!” Continue reading
I loved the drive to their beautiful home in Bedford. It was a grey and chilly day in December, the kind of wet cold I’ve come to know from Halifax. The clouds seemed low, and with it being the beginning of December, seemed like they might be ready to give us some snow.
I love the light from those cold, grey days in winter. Its the kind of quiet light that makes me want to snuggle with a blanket, tea, and a good book. But after meeting Ken, Natalie, and baby Henry, I also realized its also perfect for snuggling new little babies. Continue reading
I had the pleasure of meeting little Reyann and his wonderful parents on his 1st birthday. They were busy preparing for their guests, and wanted to capture their little boy digging into his Micky Mouse cake. I was immediately taken with Reyann. He has the most beautiful brown eyes and gentle demeanour. A lot of one year olds might be scared of a strange lady with a big camera in their face, but he just patiently stared at me! He even gave me some adorable smiles. He was also SO gentle in his cake smash! He slowly picked at his cake (as opposed to my son, who literally smashed his cake into his whole face!).
