As I walked into Alex, Allison, and Theo’s beautiful home on a Sunday afternoon, I was happy to see a family gathering taking place. Apparently getting together on Sundays is a tradition this family loves to share. To me, sharing time and a meal with people I love is something I value so much. When I meet other people with those same values, it is so easy to make a connection! Continue reading
You know what’s truly amazing? Getting four children and two adults to smile. At the same time. With no blinking or weird faces. Oh hey there Myatt family. Thanks for being so awesome and making me look good!
Last August, I met up with one of my favorite families at DeWolfe Park in Bedford. You are probably thinking two things: she says every family is “one of her favorites” and “LAST August? Good grief. Get your act together!” Continue reading
I loved the drive to their beautiful home in Bedford. It was a grey and chilly day in December, the kind of wet cold I’ve come to know from Halifax. The clouds seemed low, and with it being the beginning of December, seemed like they might be ready to give us some snow.
I love the light from those cold, grey days in winter. Its the kind of quiet light that makes me want to snuggle with a blanket, tea, and a good book. But after meeting Ken, Natalie, and baby Henry, I also realized its also perfect for snuggling new little babies. Continue reading
I had the pleasure of meeting little Reyann and his wonderful parents on his 1st birthday. They were busy preparing for their guests, and wanted to capture their little boy digging into his Micky Mouse cake. I was immediately taken with Reyann. He has the most beautiful brown eyes and gentle demeanour. A lot of one year olds might be scared of a strange lady with a big camera in their face, but he just patiently stared at me! He even gave me some adorable smiles. He was also SO gentle in his cake smash! He slowly picked at his cake (as opposed to my son, who literally smashed his cake into his whole face!). Pamela, Nick, Clara, and little Eloise May. This is who I had the privilege of spending a couple of hours with on a weekend in July! I visited their home for a casual lifestyle family session, just five days after Eloise was born. Both Pam and Nick were laid back, fun, and so proud of their little family. They had a beautiful property, and we had fun picking different spots for the family-photo-to-hang-on-the-wall (which of course…they nailed!). Continue reading
My friend Laura is an extremely talented artisan. She is the owner of The Yellow Birdhouse where she makes the most beautiful felt pieces. Wreaths, hair clips, hoop art, headbands, and now more recently, bowties and boutonnieres! She asked if I would take a few pictures of her incredibly handsome sons modelling her newest creations. We also managed to get a family portrait done, as well as a few head shots of her. Thankfully, it was a gorgeous evening at Fisherman’s Cove in Eastern Passage. I just love those cute painted little huts! Continue reading
Newborns. I think I am officially obsessed. They are just so smooshy and cute. This is little Jules, just 2-weeks old. I love that they fall asleep. Wherever. And that their skin is so soft and covered in little down. And that their parents love them. And that they can wear whatever and it is the cutest thing in the world. Continue reading
I am always on the lookout for beautiful places to take my future clients, and I have definitely found a keeper with Laurie Park in Fall River, NS. On a crisp sunny morning, Joseph and I took a beautiful drive Continue reading
