Some images from a cute in-home session with this adorable little guy!
Dhavita and Ben welcomed their son Harrison into the world in May of 2017. This post comes in time to celebrate his first birthday haha! Having done the pictures for their beautiful summer beach elopement the year before, I was very excited to meet the new addition to their family. They are a wonderful couple – very relaxed and casual. Their little guy was so cute and so good, and photographed Continue reading
It’s always fun to try new things in photography, so when I was asked to do some professional headshots for a new business owner, I was pretty excited!
Rosanna Pelton is a budding entrepreneur, who has recently launched her very own administrative and concierge services business, Rosapel. Naturally, she needed a professional image to use for her business! Rosanna also happens to be my Aunt, so I was happy to help her out, but also catch up at the same time and hear all about her new business.
I really love the way these turned out, and I hope to do more headshots in the future! Continue reading
As I walked into Alex, Allison, and Theo’s beautiful home on a Sunday afternoon, I was happy to see a family gathering taking place. Apparently getting together on Sundays is a tradition this family loves to share. To me, sharing time and a meal with people I love is something I value so much. When I meet other people with those same values, it is so easy to make a connection! Continue reading
I have put off announcing this for far too long: the Brisson family is growing! We are expecting baby #3 at the beginning of June. Regrettably, this means that until further notice, I won’t be doing photography sessions. While I hope to return to doing sessions again one day, I feel that my first priority is being with my family, especially during these small (and incredibly busy) little years. It has been a truly wonderful experience meeting you and your families. To be part of collecting your family’s history has been an honour, and I am grateful for all I was able to learn and experience in working with you. I belong to a wonderful community of photographers, so if you need help finding someone to capture your stories, just drop me a message and I would be delighted to help you.
You know what’s truly amazing? Getting four children and two adults to smile. At the same time. With no blinking or weird faces. Oh hey there Myatt family. Thanks for being so awesome and making me look good!
Last August, I met up with one of my favorite families at DeWolfe Park in Bedford. You are probably thinking two things: she says every family is “one of her favorites” and “LAST August? Good grief. Get your act together!” Continue reading
One of my favorite families! Amber, Malcolm, and Kendan needed some updated family pictures done because…there was another baby on the way! And what could have been more perfect than heading back to the same spot I met them the first time: Shubie Park. This time, it was a beautiful summer day, absolutely perfect for walking around with an energetic 2-year-old.
One of the best parts of being a family photographer is meeting other families. Often, we can relate on some level because of our kids. It’s so fun telling stories and laughing about this crazy life. Amber’s kids are roughly the same age as my kids (spoiler alert: she had a little girl. So a boy and a girl…just like me!). I remember thinking that it would be pretty cool to hang out with them. Thankfully, Amber was thinking along the same lines, and we’ve actually been able to meet up a couple of times!
I’m so honored to have been part of seeing this family grow over the last two years! Until next time 🙂 Continue reading
My dear friend Caileigh. One of the most thoughtful people I know. She remembers the most amazing little details! Like the fact that we are a family constantly on the move, so for Christmas she bought us some locally made changing pads, for us to stuff in our bags to go! She has a beautiful way about her, and her smile can really light up a room. I’ve known Caileigh for about five years now, but I truly began to appreciate her once I had my son Joseph. See, Caileigh is a developmental interventionist and play practitioner who specializes in the use of play therapy for children. In other words, Caileigh is amazing with kids. My son loves her, and she has an incredible ability to relate to him. She was one of the first people he could identify in a photo album! Continue reading
When I met up with Caitlyn and Edward for their engagement session last summer, I remember what a beautiful day it was. Like, one of those summer days that make you want to get a scoop of ice cream, and stroll slowly along the waterfront, savoring a slow pace with no where to go.
I was pretty excited about this engagement session, because it was my first time photographing an engaged couple. I think it’s so amazing that I get to be part of their journey into marriage, first doing their engagement session, and then their wedding. What an honour to witness that transformation!
