You know what’s truly amazing? Getting four children and two adults to smile. At the same time. With no blinking or weird faces. Oh hey there Myatt family. Thanks for being so awesome and making me look good!
Last August, I met up with one of my favorite families at DeWolfe Park in Bedford. You are probably thinking two things: she says every family is “one of her favorites” and “LAST August? Good grief. Get your act together!”
It’s true, I do love most families I meet. But Eric and Angie hold a special place in my heart because they have been good friends of my husband and I for about seven years! I met them while I was a student at Dalhousie University, and Eric was a campus missionary with Catholic Christian Outreach. At that time, their eldest daughter Lucy was just a baby! We became such good friends that they named their youngest son Joseph after my son. Kidding! But in all reality, it’s only a matter of time before the Josephs become the best of friends, because in case you didn’t notice, he has three older sisters. I’m sure my Joseph will love hanging out at their house 😉
Speaking of their house, we’ve had so many great meals with the Myatt family. People who walk through their doors feel instantly at home. There are so many laughs, good stories, and not to mention yummy treats. A little secret: they love sweet treats. Like, really love. So for our session, I packed up some homemade cinnamon rolls in order to
bribe treat the kids (and parents) for being so great. I’d say it worked like a charm!!
