When Dhavita contacted me and told me that she wanted to hire me for her wedding, which also happened to be an elopement, I really had no idea what to expect! I just knew that their “spot” was on a beautiful part of the Lawrencetown beach, and that it would just be them, the Justice of the Peace, and myself. When I showed up at their house, I was so pleasantly surprised not only to find two good-looking people, but also ones who were laid back and easy to talk to. We decided to drive in the same car to the beach, which was awesome because I got to know them a little bit! I definitely got the sense that easy-going was a trend with these two 😉
Weddings are big business in today’s culture, and often times the steep price tag can keep many couples from taking the leap. These two knew that marriage was important to them, and decided to keep the costs down by doing their own private ceremony, with just the two of them. While there is something wonderful about a big wedding, it’s certainly not something all young couples can afford. I can really respect these two for their decision to get married!
In my opinion, the weather was perfect. The sun wasn’t out, but the clouds cast a dreamy glow. Gorgeous!
All in all, it was a great day. I loved meeting these two, and hope to see more of them in the future!
