In May I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful little family. Ali, Eric and little baby Shea. This session was really wonderful for me. Really! This was pretty exciting because it was my first “newborn” session. Although Shea is a wee bit older than a newborn, he was absolutely as cute as a button. He was sleepy, but then alert and smiling. And mostly, he was just really relaxed and happy for the 2 hours I was there. I mean, what more could a photographer ask for? 

Well, good-looking parents for one. A beautiful house. Perfect lighting. Check check check.

Ali and Eric were awesome. They were relaxed, easy to get along with, and totally open to different posing ideas. I could tell how much they love being a little family. There is no doubt that little Shea is a very loved little man. One of my favorite parts about this shoot was how natural it was for Ali and Eric to look totally in love with Shea. I am a bit of a sucker for dads who turn into mush with their babies, and Eric’s expression when Shea did a cute little yawn was just so perfect.

Another fun little detail is Shea’s heart-shaped birthmark on his little foot!

I can’t wait to see this family again!
